Lab Services and our Lab Technicians who provide them are important in both diagnosis and treatment at Gordon Medical.
Phlebotomist / Labs / Technical Services Specialist
A Jill-of-all-Trades, from phlebotomy to plumbing, Trina can take care of it. Since 2005, she’s covered shipping, the front desk, repairs, filled in for Medical Assistants, and has mastered the art of blood draws. She enjoys the variety in her work at GMA, and finds great satisfaction in being able to help our patients. Still, after all the excitement offered to her at Gordon Medical, Trina is happy to go home each night to her husband and three beautiful children.
Medical Assistant to Eric Gordon, MD (temporary)/ Phlebotomist/Lab Tech /SISOH Head Research Coordinator
Kelly started her Phlebotmoy work in the spring of 1998 working for Palm Drive Hospital in Sebastopol and then Unilab (currently Lab Corp) in Santa Rosa. Kelly attended Empire College and graduated with her degree in Medical Assisting and a refresher in Phlebotomy in July 2011. She started working at Gordon Medical Associates in April 2011 as an Extern, became fulltime staff in May 2011. Kelly was involved in the writing on the GMA website, and we were delighted to have her informed input in creating educational material for our patients. In early 2017 she was asked to become the Head Research Coordinator for SISOH, but remains available to assist as a Lab Tech for GMA in off hours at SISOH. She enjoys working with the patients and the wonderful staff at both GMA and SISOH. We are fortunate to have her take over our research, as her emphasis on detail and her grounding in phlebotomy is exactly what is needed. When she is not in the office she is enjoying time with her wonderful husband and two amazing children. Most weekends you can find them on the beach picnicking or exploring.
Medical Assistant to Wayne Anderson ND
Barbara attended Empire College and graduated with her degree as a Medical Assistant in January of 2011. She started here at GMA in November of 2011 in our records department just to get her foot in the door but it was obvious that her true passion was to be hands on with the patients and help the doctors with patient care. Since it was clear that this was the position she was looking for she finally got her big break and is now the MA for Dr. Wayne Anderson. If you cannot find her at her MA desk, you will more than likely find her in the lab doing blood draws, injections, ear irrigation and nasal swabs. Outside of GMA, Barbara is on a Country Line Dance team as she loves to dance! She has a wonderful husband who she married in July of 2011 as well as four adult children and four precious grandchildren, Maddy, Kaiya, and twins Jaxon and Gavin.
Medical Assistant to Nafysa Parpia ND/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Kensey has been working at GMA since August 2016, and has teamed up with Dr. Parpia to provide whole-hearted care to her patients utilizing her knowledge and experience as a licensed vocational nurse. She graduated from nursing school in Ukiah in 2014 and has previous experience as a certified nurse assistant ranging from hospice care, home care, and physical rehab. When she is not at work at GMA, you can find her on walks and hiking trails around Sonoma County with her boxer/ridgeback mix dog, Tanner. She also enjoys in her spare time exploring new cuisines in the city, or recreating recipes from family, friends, and her favorite source, Pinterest! Kensey is excited to work with the amazing staff at GMA and to provide her care and support to her patients.
Medical Assistant for Elizabeth Large ND
Alondra is waiting to get into nursing school, hoping to get into San Francisco State for her Bachelor’s in Nursing. She is a Santa Rosa native, born and raised, having been here her whole life. She has two Associate Degrees in Science: Pre-Allied Health and Natural Sciences, providing a nice background for her work at GMA. Her cheery and friendly nature make the patients feel very welcome and taken care of as they come and go in the clinic. When not at work helping our lovely patients, she has a busy lifestyle being active, tutoring, or teaching dance to younger kids.
