Bee Venom Therapy (BVT)

Bee Venom Therapy

Bee Venom Therapy (BVT) is an ancient therapy that works well in a variety of medical conditions. With this therapy, bee venom in bee-sized doses is injected into acupuncture sites or other critical spots in the skin.

Bee venom has been used for centuries in healing. Tiny amounts of bee venom are injected around joints or into specific acupuncture points, causing an inflammatory response which stimulates the immune system to “normalize” and relieve joint pain.

  1. 1
How Can Bee Venom help me?

The venom is a natural substance that stresses one small area of the body’s immune system. This can train it to come back stronger. Body responses to this bee sting are like a chemical concert. These responses improve with practice, like any physical skill. Handling a little stress and coming back stronger is central to increasing the health of any living system and its ability to adapt.

  2. 2
    What conditions can BVT help?

Bee Venom-triggered repair process works on many diseases. Any condition with a component of degeneration and loss of muscle or nerve function may respond well. Especially with autoimmunity, where normal immune defense is directed against one’s own tissue, the BVT is unique in its effectiveness. The resulting sting works wonders with arthritis, multiple sclerosis, fractures, sciatica, and many other conditions.

  4. 4
How often will I need a treatment?

The frequency of treatment depends on the symptoms being treated, how well the patient is tolerating treatments and how well treatments are working. This will be discussed with you by your doctor.

  5. 5
How do I schedule an appointment in the office?

Appointments can be made Monday through Friday with a Technician.

Use one of the following options to make an appointment:
    Patient Portal for current patients
    New Patient Contact
    (707) 575-5180

  6. 6
How much time do treatments take?

For the first appointment, please be prepared to schedule a longer treatment time, about 45-60 minutes, so the Technician can familiarize themselves with the locations of the injections for your needs. Follow up appointments are scheduled at 30-45 minutes.

  7. 7
How can I prepare for my appointment?

Please prepare for the appointment by not applying lotions or oils to the area that will be treated.

  8. 8
    Is it safe?

Bee Venom is safe, effective, and less expensive than other therapies for various medical problems. One obstacle is fear of the pain from a sting, but when people realize the benefits gained in pain relief, the sting becomes unimportant.

Although allergic reactions are uncommon and avoidable, you may have mild reactions at the injection site. Please discuss all your concerns with your practitioner prior to Bee Venom therapy.

If you have an allergy to bee stings, be sure to discuss it with your doctor before deciding to have BVT.
