"We all strive for balance in our lives. If you find yourself striving for inner peace and a sense of harmony, it takes more than a good attitude. Our sense of self is regulated by neurotransmitters, hormones, and many other cellular functions within our bodies that influence our stamina, immune function, sexual drive, and nervous systems."
The practice of integrative holistic therapy guides us toward an elegant and
more natural solution; a way to create health rather than eradicate illness.
To do so, we need an integrative medical practitioner. Mara is a graduate
of the UCSF School of Nursing and a nationally Board Certified Adult Nurse
Practitioner. She has been a health care provider for almost 30 years.
Mara has developed an expertise in functional, nutritional medicine; blending pharmaceuticals with nutraceuticals, utilizing science and nutrition to its best advantage to get the optimal effect and outcome.
She is experienced with many Chronic diseases, including lyme disease and its coinfections, heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, and various pain syndromes, inflammation, cancer, and Adrenal Fatigue.
To heal from within, it is important to work with a healer you can connect to emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually. Mara has followed a spiritual path for most of her life and has a deep faith in spirit. She has
been an energy worker for almost 20 years. She was born an empath and uses this gift to further understand those who she see in her practice. She works from the heart as well as the mind. She believes strongly that you must find the root cause of a problem to solve it. Mara listens. Mara bring to you her knowledge, her attention, her heart, and her soul.
A note from Mara Williams:
"I have seen both sides of Lyme Disease, as a professional and as a mother. My 35 year old daughter was bitten by a tick when she was 16 years old. She has been almost bedridden for the last nine months. I sit with her in the ER when she needs hydration. I have held her while she is sick. I have watched many healthcare providers marginalize her by saying this disease doesn't exist, ignoring her obvious pain and severe symptoms. I understand in every fiber of my being how devastating this illness is for the patient and their loved ones."
